Automating fund factsheet production

Integrated seamlessly within the WordPress environment, InvePress allows for quick and simple report generation that aligns with the fund site’s branding and online presence — all without needing extra tools. The fund data comes from the same source as the fund website data and can be imported from openfunds-standard-compatible files, so the reporting process can be easily automated.

Thanks to WordPress’s intuitive editor, combined with the InvePress plugin, creating, editing, and updating fund factsheets is both efficient and effortless.

Creating a new fund factsheet

To create a new fund factsheet:

This sets up your first page. In the right sidebar, choose your format and page orientation. You can repeat this process to add additional report pages.

Designing the factsheet layout

Within the Fund Report block, you can add built-in WordPress blocks to structure your report layout. Use blocks like Columns, Cover, Image and Group to create a well-organized and visually appealing design.

Adding static fund data

To display static fund data:

A table will automatically appear, showing the selected fund’s static data.

Static fund data includes key details about the funds and share classes, such as fund name, currency, launch date, investment objective, management company, administrator details, and various fee structures. Since the InvePress plugin integrates directly with openfunds data, asset managers can easily import and update this information from compatible openfunds files.

Within the WordPress admin panel, imported data can be reviewed, edited, and adjusted, allowing asset managers to ensure the accuracy of all imported fund data before it is displayed in reports. The intuitive interface allows users to make changes without requiring technical expertise, making it simple to maintain the integrity and correctness of the information.

This functionality ensures consistency across fund reports, minimizes discrepancies between reports, and reduces the risk of manual data entry errors. As a result, creating fund factsheets becomes both more efficient and more reliable, saving valuable time and improving the quality of the output.

Adding dynamic fund data

To display dynamic fund data:

Dynamic fund data is automatically fetched from previously imported openfunds data files through the WordPress admin panel or by automated uploads. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing the risk of errors and ensuring that the data presented is both accurate and up-to-date.

Fund performance is calculated based on the fund valuations (and dividends). Additionally, the InvePress plugin automatically computes performance-related ratios like Alpha, Beta, R², Tracking Error, Standard Deviation, Sharpe Ratio, and Information Ratio based on the fund’s and benchmark valuations. This ensures that your performance data is calculated consistently and correctly.

The blocks used to display dynamic data are highly flexible, offering full customization of how charts, tables, and other data visualizations appear. You can easily adjust the layout, colors, and design to match your fund’s branding and presentation needs. Whether you’re showcasing fund performance, asset breakdowns, or risk ratios, these blocks allow you to tailor the look and feel of each visualization, ensuring your reports are both informative and visually appealing.

Multilingual support and translations

InvePress fully supports multilingual capabilities, allowing for easy importing of multilingual openfunds standard data files. The plugin enables you to manually select the language for the blocks, ensuring that fund factsheets can be created and managed in different languages. This allows for localized versions of reports, making them accessible to a global audience.

Adding disclaimers

To add disclaimers, you can use standard WordPress blocks like Paragraph and take advantage of the reusable blocks (sync patterns) feature. This allows you to create global disclaimer templates that can be reused and synchronized across multiple factsheets.
